Frankfurt am Main/Bürostadt Niederrad:
the Domus Vivendi Group sells residential building to HanseMerkur
Grundvermögen AG
Königstein im Taunus, 10.06.2015
The Domus Vivendi Group has sold its residential building Green Six to an open-
ended special real estate fund of the HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG. The real
estate manager from the HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe has taken over the
building in the promising district of Frankfurt-Niederrad for approx. 20 million euros.
Together with Mercurius Real Estate, the Domus Vivendi Group converted the
former Co-op headquarters on Hahnstraße into a KfW Efficiency House 70. With its
part-furnished apartments, the building is contributing to the transformation of the
mono-structure office and commercial area into a vibrant residential area. Various
notable companies have already secured rooms. Mercurius Services GmbH, a
subsidiary of Mercurius Real Estate AG, is in charge of managing the building, which
was completed in December 2014.
Thomas Oellig, managing director of Domus Vivendi GmbH & Co. KG: “We are
thrilled that our concept has impressed a traditional institutional investor like the
HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe. It shows that, with our
‘micro-apartment’
housing format, we represent more than a niche and have created a market.”
Lutz Wiemer, chairperson of HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG:
“Frankfurt is
Germany’s number one commuter town and there is an enormous demand for well-
equipped micro-apartments. Both the main train station and the airport are less than
ten minutes away from our real estate via S-Bahn. Furthermore, numerous major
companies are located in the immediate vicinity. These arguments are proof of the
impressive quality of the location.”
