Mercurius Real Estate AG: Construction begins on the second micro-apartment
complex with 164 residential units in Frankfurt Bockenheim

In the fourth quarter of the year, Mercurius Real Estate AG began construction on
another micro-apartment complex in the Frankfurt district of Bockenheim, together with
its project partner DOMUS VIVENDI GmbH & Co. KG. A total of 164 20 sq m part-furnished
residential units will be built. The complex is due to be completed in November 2011.
The concept of “micro living” is increasingly piquing the interest of institutional
investors in particular. While building permits are decreasing and rents increasing as a
result of the housing shortage, the micro complex in Bockenheim is providing a
balance and offering commuters, young professionals and students an attractive chance to
live somewhere that is both central and affordable. The building has been designed as an
Efficiency House 55 in line with EnEv 2009 and shows that Mercurius Real Estate AG is
focusing on sustainable, efficient construction.
