“Bürostadt” Frankfurt-Niederrad: three quarters of Domus Vivendi apartments

already let

Frankfurt am Main, 20.11.2014

The magistrate of the City of Frankfurt am Main recently approved the first

development plan for the Bürostadt Niederrad. This in turn provides planning

permission for approximately 1,200 apartments around Hahnstraße.

The Domus Vivendi Group stands as a pioneer with its residential development:

“Green Six” is the first building in the district that will be ready for occupation. Around

three quarters of the apartments have already been let. The apartments in

Hahnstraße 72 will be occupied from 1st December. The former office building has

been stripped back and fully refurbished with Mercurius Real Estate AG and has

been converted into a KfW Efficiency House 70.

“We were impressed with the location from the very beginning”, says Thomas Oellig,

managing director of Domus Vivendi GmbH & Co. KG. “We are not surprised by the

high level of demand. The new district brings together living, working and leisure at

close quarters. It is a good fit for the way many people want to live their lives.”

Interest from employees of the nearby companies has been decisive for the strong

rush of interest. Just like Frankfurt Airport – Germany’s largest employer: it is just

two S-Bahn stations from the apartment complex and employs around 80,000

members of staff. And interest is not just great amongst potential tenants.

Responsible parties are currently holding concrete talks with institutional investors

concerning the sale of the real estate.

The Standort-Initiative Neues Niederrad (SINN) is driving forward the transformation

from what used to be a mono-structured office and commercial area into a vibrant

residential district. Mercurius Real Estate is supporting this initiative with its

membership. Thomas Oellig from Domus Vivendi can imagine investing in the district

again and building another development.
